Animal Health Technicians

Dr Carl and Bernard

Michelle Marie Browne graduated from the Veterinary Technician program with honours at Georgian College in Orillia, Ontario in 2011. She started her career in Ontario where she grew up then moved to Calgary in 2012 with her husband Cody where she continued working in small animal practice.

Michelle joined the Little Creek team in December 2014. Michelle has always had a passion to work with animals and enjoys her role as an AHT.  She applies her compassion for animals and her hard work ethic to everything she does, making her an integral part of the Little Creek team.

Michelle shares a home with her 3 cats, named Baby, Iggy, and Tasha and two ferrets, named Meeko and Loki.

When she is not working she likes to spend time with her husband exploring the province. They enjoy hiking through the mountains in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. She adores penguins and one of her favourite activities is visiting them at the Calgary Zoo.

Amanda Kusch began in the veterinary industry in 2008. She worked at a small, general practice while pursuing her Veterinary Office Assistant Certificate through Robertson College. After completing the program, she enrolled in the Distance Education Animal Health Technology program through Thompson Rivers University, and graduated in November 2012.

Amanda is involved in many avenues in our industry. She is a part time employee here at Little Creek, works full time at an emergency hospital, volunteers at a wildlife rehabilitation center, and serves on various committees within our provincial association. She has a special interest in nutrition, pain management, and emergency medicine, and is looking to pursue a specialty in the latter.

When not in a clinic setting, Amanda spends time hiking or back country camping in the mountains with her fiancé, attending yoga practice, or knitting. She is a coffee addict, wine enthusiast, and loves spending time with her cats, Kali Coconut and Cougar Puff.
